My Inspiration

All of my life I have loved two things: animals and art. I have drawn animals ever since I could hold a crayon, and still do to this day, I have an absolute passion in doing it. My artwork ranges from cartoon illustrations to realism. Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, I have interacted with farm animals, wild life, and pets. Pets have always brought me more love and life than I ever could have imagined. I have owned or lived with cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, parakeets, fish, horses; you name it! Every creature, big or small, has a soul, and I wanted to bring that out in my art.

Two other big influences on my art were animated movies and video games. I was always fascinated on how scenes in movies were made. I would sit for hours pausing, rewinding, playing the scenes in slow motion from a Disney or Dreamworks movie, just so I could see the frame-by-frame drawings.

The MMORPG, World of Warcraft, inspires me almost daily with its beautiful landscapes, ferocious monsters, and vibrant colors; what is in that game not worth striving for? I admire Blizzard's artists' concept art, speed paintings, and the amazing 3D model outcomes.

My Physical World

I have graduated with honors from East Stroudsburg Univeristy of Pennsylvania in 2012 with a BA degree in Art and Design. I love creating art with pencil or paint, but I truly feel at home with digital art. Since I have grown up in a technological age, I always played around in Paint and Photoshop as a kid, trying to create artwork to share in online communities. I find pure enjoyment when I sit down at my computer with my Wacom tablet, listening to Spotify, and Photoshop taking up my full screen. I can "paint" and doodle for hours on my endless canvas, without ever running out of "paper."

Currently, I reside outside of Sacramento, California with my significant other, our three cats, and two pit bulls. I am currently employed at Trevco, Inc. (formally known as Nothing Specific Inc.), an online retailer, as their Lead Graphic Artist. I also run my own at home business, Metal Mementos.

From the past, present, and into the future, I wish to create artwork that will be cherished for a lifetime of my clients' pets, ideas, and imaginations.
